AECOM's Transit & Planning Group is seeking a creative, highly talented and experienced mid-level Transportation/Transit Planner IV - Urban Transportation Infrastructure for immediate employment in AECOM's Detroit, MI Office.JOB SUMMARY:The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in transportation planning, with specialization in multimodal and transit planning. The best candidates will have experience working directly with public sector clients to analyze and recommend solutions for transportation systems, corridors and sites. The best candidates will have an interdisciplinary background and be conversant in the principles of transportation engineering, transportation infrastructure design, environmental planning, and urban planning/land use planning.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform a variety of transportation planning studies, such as feasibility studies and alternatives analyses.Conduct research and prepare reports on land use, physical, environmental, social and economic issues.Develop plans, studies, and analyses for transportation and transit projects.Manage and perform field data collection, surveys and inspections to gather data.Develop and execute plans for public and stakeholder engagement.Work with GIS and other planning software.Support the preparation of proposals for project pursuits.Mentor and help advise junior staff on methodologies and deliverables.
